Hydrogen Sulfide Well Water Treatment System

THE PROBLEM: Foul odor from your well water caused by Hydrogen Sulfide. Hydrogen Sulfide (or H2S) is a colorless gas with a characteristic foul odor of rotten eggs. It results naturally from the bacterial breakdown of organic matter in your well water. Excess amounts of H2S in your well water can not only lead to unpleasant odors but can also cause black staining and corrode pipes and other metal components of plumbing.

THE SOLUTION: FWT's Rainbow H2S uses nature's own oxidation process to eliminate it from your water supply. How does it work? FWT's Rainbow H2S utilizes a single tank that stores a bubble of air compressed by your well pressure within the media tank. As your water passes through the air, the Hydrogen Sulfide is converted into a particle. This particle is then trapped by the catalytic filter media in the tank, where the bubble is gradually consumed by the passing water. For regeneration, the unit first backwashes itself and removes any iron particles it has trapped. The system then replenishes the air bubble by drawing in the atmosphere and temporarily empties the tank of all water. This transfers the oxygen molecules into and on the surface of the media bed, where all oxidation occurs. The system then returns to the service position, again filtering your water.

Structural Features: The FWT Well Water Treatment system features blow-molded, NSF-certified, UV-resistant fiberglass bound tanks, a 1" internal riser system, and a built-in Bypass Valve safety system.
